HydroGeo Innovations | FieldTag
Field photos, location and notes. Available on your device, backed up when connected.
Open FieldTagRecord observations at the site
FieldTag is a progressive web app from HydroGeo Envi-Consultancy Services. Save original photographs with project details, field notes, observation time and device or manually entered coordinates. Browse your local field journal and generate daily reports by date and project.
Continue fieldwork offline
Load the app online before fieldwork so its interface can be cached, then install it on your Android home screen. Photos and notes are saved in the browser’s local database before an upload is attempted. Capture, local records and device-based daily reports remain available without a network connection. Keep a downloaded device backup before clearing browser storage or changing devices.
Connect with your Google account
Ordinary users sign in with Google to identify their submitted observations. FieldTag requests basic identity information for this sign-in; ordinary users do not grant access to their own Google Sheets or Drive files. The device remembers the previously verified account and attempts automatic reconnection when Google permits.
Central backup and daily reports
The backend owner, kenneth.fgc@gmail.com, separately authorizes the central Google Sheets database and app photo folder in Google Drive. When a signed-in device is connected, queued observations are uploaded and marked backed up only after both the photo and its metadata are confirmed. Field users can retrieve their own cloud submissions through the app; the owner can compile team records. Android may defer background uploads, so reopen the app to finish a waiting backup.
Understand where your records go
The central spreadsheet and photo folder are controlled by the backend owner. Anyone using the same unlocked browser profile can view locally stored records, including after sign-out. Read the privacy policy for the data collected, Google permissions, storage, access and deletion-request process.
